Using pads and tampons is a common way to absorb the fluid and protect the clothes from stains during your moon-time. These pads and tampons come in many different styles, shapes and sizes. To learn which one will best suit you, check with an adult and to know how to use them, read the package instructions.
Pads Or Tampons -
Pads or tampons – which one will be better for those 5 down days? To resolve this confusion, it is better to give each of them a try and decide yourself which one you like the best. Choice is completely yours but if you believe in my words, I will advise you go for using the tampons.
Of course, you can buy both. Many girls do so and you always have the liberty too to make your final choice. You can opt for using a pad or a tampon depending on:
• How you are feeling
• How is the flow of your period?
• What your lifestyle includes like dancing, swimming or running.
• What you will be wearing such as a swimsuit, a leotard or sweat pants.
Either you simply go with my advice or make your final choice depending on your experience coming from the trail of using both the options, you would most likely go with later option i.e. tampon.
About Tampons -
Tampons are worn inside your vagina. They often come in cardboard or plastic tubes to help you insert them. Of course they are inserted but they won't get lost inside your body. Once this period protection product is inside you, the muscles of your vagina hold it safely in place. You can easily pull it out of your vagina using the string attached to it.
So, if you have made up your mind to use tampons during your moon-time, start by choosing the slender and smaller tampons. It would be better if you go for preferring one in which the applicator is curved at the end as it will be easier to insert and comfy to feel. Feeling comfy should be your utmost priority when you put in your first tampon. Thereby, don’t be in rush; take your time and remember to relax after putting it in.
Health Alert!
It might seem tempting to leave a tampon in all day long if you are not leaking or staining but it is definitely not a good idea to walk on. It can cause health problems, vaginal infections itching and so on. Thus, be sure to hygienically remove the tampon you use with each period!
Change Is Essential -
No matter you prefer using a pad or tampon; you need to change them after every 4 to 8 hours, more often if needed. It will help you avoid leaks and odor. Always wrap a used pad and tampon and throw it out. Never flush them down the toilet! However, some tampons are flushable. Check package directions.
Night Protection -
Your flow may be heavier or lighter at night. You can wear a pad or a tampon or both. Use whatever is most comfortable for you
