Let’s see first what are normal…..

The standard length of a cycle is 28 days. However, this length may also range from 20 to 45 days and can still be considered normal.
The phase of period stays around a week; starting from the heavy blood flow and ends from little to zero. 
Younger women may find that their menstrual cycles are irregular the first few years. 
The most common characteristics of average menstruation include: blood flow, bloating, vaginal odor, vaginal discharge, cramps, tenderness in breasts, difficulty sleeping and moodiness. 
During menstruation, blood flow can be light, moderate, or heavy. By the end of menstruation approximately four tablespoons to a cup of blood will be lost.
The color of vaginal discharged blood may be in various forms of red and brown. 
The discharged blood may vary in terms of thickens also. 
In addition to the blood flow, women also release a little amount of white or water color vaginal discharge called leukorrhea. 

Now, it’s time to discuss what is not normal….

Any other type of vaginal discharged leaving blood clotting and leucorrhea during the period can be an alarming sign for you that some problem is there with your period. Furthermore, any types of irregularity during the period phase or the gap of days from one period to another is not average, it can also be an indicator that your health or body system is not functioning rightly.
